Other than processor, graphics processor, and power adapter, these models can be identical.

The Apple MacBook Pro "M3 Max" 16-Core CPU/40-Core GPU 14-Inch (Late 2023) model features a 4.05 GHz Apple M3 Max processor with sixteen cores (12 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores), a 40-core GPU, a 16-core Neural Engine, 48 GB of "unified" onboard RAM, and a 1 TB onboard SSD. Both the RAM and the SSD could be custom configured with higher end options at the time of initial system purchase, but not upgraded subsequently.
